The North Shore Food Pantry provides free food for the community every Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. All are invited to participate. If you're hungry, please join us. If you want to help out, please join us. If you want to witness a miracle, please join us. We start setting up the food at around 10:30 a.m. and begin handing out line placement tickets at 3:00 p.m. Please join us.
The Po'oku North Shore Community Garden is located on the lush property of the Church of the Pacific. We grow organic fruits, vegetables and other crops to supplement and support the ministry of the North Shore Food Pantry. Another aspect of this ministry is our Gleaning Program, which is harvesting fruits and vegetables from local donors. If you would like to help out in this important ministry, please join us any Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. when we plant and work in the garden, or on Wednesday starting at 10:30 a.m. when we harvest from the garden and/or glean fresh fruits and vegetables from donors in the area.
The Church of the Pacific is pleased to announce that we have successfully initiated a new ministry opportunity. Glenn and Mary Frazier represented the Church in June and helped deliver over four metric tons of rice, 150 full room mosquito nets that will help prevent malaria, and also delivered a significant amount of medical supplies to seven new Churches. Food and supplies were purchased through donations received by the Church of the Pacific for this exciting new ministry. During their visit, Glenn and Mary also helped dedicate a new Church and provide Church leadership training.
We are excited as we explore new opportunities and officially "adopting" one of these new churches in Cambodia.
